Orthodontic Treatment from a Member of the San Joaquin Dental Society

When seeking an orthodontist for treatment, consider visiting Brookside Orthodontics. As a member of the San Joaquin Dental Society, Dr. Parker, DDS, MS, has a great deal of experience. Who you select to perform your treatment can influence the process, your comfort levels, and the final results; making this an important decision to make.

What is the San Joaquin dental society?

A voluntary professional organization comprised of dentists in the 3-county area, the San Joaquin Dental Society provides professional advancement opportunities while also working to educate community members on the importance of oral health. The Society also ensures that each member maintains the highest ethical standards and before one becomes a member, one must be a member of the California Dental Association and American Dental Association.

Patients can be confident that as a member of the Society, Dr. Parker is well-educated, informed and operating at the highest ethical standards.  He is also good at what he does and can transform one's smile into something incredibly beautiful.

Orthodontic treatment options

Traditional metal braces are the most famous type of orthodontic treatment options. However, this is not the only option. We still recommend traditional metal braces for preteens and teens because they are durable and long-lasting. However, adults may prefer clear braces or clear removable aligners as an alternative. We can discuss all of these options and the likely results of using them upon visiting our office for an examination and consultation. Dr. Parker will listen to any concerns and work to find a solution that will improve one's smile and oral health.

During the consultation, be sure to ask plenty of questions. This is the opportunity to learn more about an orthodontic treatment, what life is like while completing one, how long the process will take and what regular visits will consist of. No question is a bad question, so feel free to make a list and we will take the time to go through each one.

There is no time like the present

As a member of the San Joaquin Dental Society, Dr. Parker can also provide patients with additional educational information on the orthodontic treatment and maintain oral health during treatment. It is critical that whether one is wearing traditional or clear braces, one needs to keep the teeth in good health. If one fails to keep his or her teeth clean while using an orthodontic treatment for teeth straightening, then one can experience severe staining or worse. A cavity or infection will need to be dealt with right away and this could create delays in the overall treatment plan. Fortunately, these delays can be avoided by focusing on your oral health the entire time.

Adults of all ages are finding that there are benefits to straightening their teeth. If you have waited due to a busy schedule or other life priorities, it is not too late to get the smile you have always wanted. Discussing your options can be quite insightful, so call today.
